The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who translates original creative concepts into visual language, someone who knows how to both collaborate and negotiate with a team in order to develop a look, style and experience appropriate to the strategic direction, and someone with a strong sense of communication design, including interactive layout, typography and motion design.
Conceptualizing and designing solutions that meet or exceed strategic marketing objectives, while simultaneously engaging the end user
Building and maintaining a rapport with creative, technical, account management and project management staff
Ensuring appropriate quality of any creative deliverables through technical implementation
Participating in pitches by attending creative brainstorming sessions, preparing presentations, and using your marketing and technology expertise to assist business development
At least two years working experience as a designer, one of which must have been in the interactive industry where you’ve worked directly with other designers, developers and management staff
At least one year of formal design education from a recognized educational institution
Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator (CS and above)
Comprehensive working knowledge of Flash timeline animation, with basic understanding of Flash ActionScript
Strong familiarity with the strengths and limitations of HTML/CSS design
Understanding of information architecture and hierarchy, with some experience creating wireframe schematics
Thorough understanding of interactivity and the web
Specific experience designing in a variety of interactive media, including web, email, kiosk, wireless, etc. (please specify)
Strong typography skills
Experience designing for offline media
Familiarity with HTML / CSS syntax
Willing to work occasional off hours when necessary
Detail-oriented and accountable for deadlines and quality of work
Can distil business requirements into technical solutions while retaining a sense of the "big picture"
Passionate about the work and the medium
Highly creative with an ability to generate effective marketing ideas both independently and as part of a team
Interested in movies, music, fashion and other aspects pop-culture
Able to articulate creative ideas in a collaborative group environment
