Trapeze is seeking a Community Manager on behalf of our automotive client to help drive the highest quality website user experience. The Community Manager role will be key for contributing to a meaningful and actionable digital experience for website visitors.
Engage in and participate real time in the community discussions to build good will and positive public relations as well as drive discussion related to the clients business priorities
Stay abreast of community conversations regarding themes, trends, patterns, topics and know when to make recommendations or comment on insights to the Trapeze account team
Use public relations insight, previous experience and expertise to identify new ways that Trapeze can assist the client for increased user experience from a social media perspective on the website
Read and coordinate responses to all user posts and emails on a regular basis
Respond to and post daily updates to our client’s website for both the blog and online forum sections to generate visibility and buzz for the clients brand
Manage relationships and schedules with contributing blog sources (client) and update content submissions in a timely and authentic manner
Moderate, approve and edit content on an ongoing basis
PR background experience and/or digital PR experience specifically
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or a related field
Strong writing/editing skills required
Proficiency in proofreading, spelling, punctuation, and understanding of style and standards
3+ years of editorial or PR experience, ideally with demonstrated experience with digital medium
Interest in new audience driven analytics and social media to promote business objectives
Requires a solid understanding of digital, SEO and the social media/networking space and how to communicate/engage accordingly
Familiar with HTML and CMS for uploading new content and images daily to the website
Proven social media skills as a writer
Extensive knowledge and experience in the automotive industry
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to use judgment to solicit input from PR agency of record and/or Trapeze account team before deciding on best approach in certain scenarios
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
