The Web Analytics and Insights Specialist will be responsible for reporting and measuring the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns against relevant business goals and will be responsible for defining and measuring online performance metrics.
The Web Analytics and Insights Specialist is responsible for the data pulling (from multiple sources), cleansing and analysis, with the end goal of translating the data into actionable recommendations. Also, the Web Analytics and Insights Specialist will be the expert in campaign performance, the analytical resource for all internal and external parties and will provide a proactive voice for relevant testing and optimization opportunities.
Determine key metrics that are relevant to the clients business and marketing goals
Maintain analytics deliverables schedule
Build templates for planning, trafficking and reporting to build efficiencies in workflow
Author Analytics Briefs and Tracking Requirements documents
Implement measurement tools, monitor and measure the performance of client websites and online marketing activities, interpret and analyze the information gathered
Apply insights to develop optimization recommendations
Collect and maintain data via internal or third party sources
Create spreadsheets and pivot tables in Excel that are accessible to other team members
Create reports that include written and graphical representation of analysis, and present them to internal and client teams
Assist in managing projects related to strategic planning and new business development
Stay on top of digital marketing and analytics industry trends
Build benchmarks and historical data
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on digital analytics experience
Hands-on experience with data cleansing and analysis
Experience with managing Client relationships & regular Client interaction
Analytical rigor and strategic thinking ability
Must have the ability to learn new concepts, software applications and reporting console quickly
Experience working with the following tools and technologies: Web Optimizer and Omniture Test and Target, Compete, ComScore, HitWise, Survey tools like 4q, Iperceptions
Experience with cross channel analytics – setting up tracking, measuring, reporting on and making recommendations to improve the performance of integrated online marketing and media programs,
paid search, display advertising, social media etc.
Experience with Brand Monitoring tools would also be nice – they should be able to put together an entire holistic view of the the market and then be able to dive into the information to draw
insights and reccomendations
Establishing KPIs and helping to develop ROI models – monitoring performance against plan, identifying opportunities to make refinements
Must have ability to utilize advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, V-lookup, T-test, ANOVA, regression, correlation, etc.
Must have general understanding of digital marketing and metrics
Knowledge of Omniture and other adserving tracking/tagging systems, and be familiar with implementation strategies
Must have hands-on experience with qualitative test design documentation and implementation
Solid understanding of digital metrics, hands-on experience with tools, and knowledge of various digital measurement technologies
Experience using current web analytics platforms (Google Analytics and Omniture experience required). Experience using a variety of analytical tools preferred
Experience using testing and optimization tools such as Google Optimizer, Omniture Test and Target, or others
Experience using a variety of competitive intelligence and qualitative analysis tools like Radian6 or other brand monitoring tools etc
Experience analyzing integrated online marketing campaigns and working with both paid search and ad serving platforms such as Google AdWords, DoubleClick/DART etc.
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
Comprehensive knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
Strong presentation skills with experience presenting reports, analysis and recommendations to internal team teams and clients
Synthesize data and provide business strategy recommendations based on data to deliver qualitative and quantitative analyses to support decision making across the organization and client projects
Evaluate clients’ web position and implements appropriate analytic approach
Manage key analytic portions of a project from start to finish
Select appropriate tools and techniques on a project-by-project basis
Presentation of findings to both internal teams and clients
Prepare written analysis and present findings to clients
Active contribution to project planning and strategy formulation
Provide statistical consulting (e.g. working with clients and agency personnel to determine the validity and significance of observed program results)
Ability to take, redefine and continue to help build our analytics and insights framework
