Constructing a site for the brooding, secret-laden film The Prestige, presented an interesting challenge. The concern was building a bold on-line presence without revealing any spoilers. The site was strikingly designed around the themes of mystery, magic and competition. Then using a puzzle format, with hidden journal entries implanted throughout the site, the audience was able to unlock an exclusive preview clip of the film. Visitors were compelled to stay for a significant period and play the game, while the format still protected the story's big reveals.
