In early 2008, Mistubishi launched the Lancer Evolution, and Trapeze came on-board to ramp up hype on the new car. The microsite Lancerevolution.ca acted as a primary landing page for a Social Media Marketing campaign, executed at the same time as the site. The strategy was to include Facebook, Flickr, and Youtube pages to drive traffic to the microsite and vice-versa. These social media channels encouraged participation with the brand, engaging visitors, propelling interest and information sharing through user generated content. Going live at the end of January 2008, the microsite was a successful anchor for an ongoing conversation about the car. The Lancer Evo Facebook page averaged 54 new users a day for over 16 weeks, 7,541 fans, 66,316 page views, 11,482 photo views, 701 wall posts, and 80 reviews.
